Beech Bluff is a one-group campsite just downstream from Horse Shoe Boating Access Area in Henderson County. A lovely little spot beneath the shade of an enormous beech tree situated across the river from protected land, this campsite has a simple river access, picnic table, and fire ring, and later in the summer of 2026 - an elevated composting toilet. There is enough flat space for 2-3 tents and several trees nicely-suitable for hammocks. Everything you need for a relaxed night on the Paddle Trail.
The access into the campsite itself is less than half a mile downstream of Horse Shoe Boating Access Area. Flows are generally slow in this section but be on the lookout for the sign and steps river-left of a mid-river sandy beach (beach is only visible at low-mid flows).
Note that this campsite is on private land. Please respect the landowner's property and stay within the campsite area. Do not leave the campsite area, and do not try to drive to the campsite.
Also, a big thanks to the AllTrails Stewards Fund for their financial support in creating this campsite!
